Renji's Birthday FanFic Ch.4

Chapter 4

Ichigo casually walked down the street to the Urahara Shop. What he didn't realize was that his dad was following him, keeping sufficient distance between him and his son.
Once Ichigo entered Urahara's Shop, Isshin pulled out his cell phone and called Ichigo's friends.
"Dammit, where are they?" he groaned. Chad, Uryu and Orihime weren't answering, but then Chizuru picked up.
"Hello?" she began.
"Ms. Honsho, Ichigo's going to a party, I guess he didn't invite you. Should I tell you where the-"
"Is Orihime there?" Chizuru interuppted.
"Well, I don't-"
"Then I'm not coming. Find out if she's there, and if she is, call me back, old geezer!"
And then she hung up. Isshin sighed. "Young people these days," he groaned, punching in Keigo's number. No doubt that guy would want to come.
"A party? And Ichigo didn't invite me? Sure, where is it?" Keigo babbled eagerly.
"Take a right, then go left at the third intersection, to a place called the Urahara Shop," Isshin told him.
And then Mr. Kurosaki called Mizuiro, who was also at home.
"A party? Sure, where is it?"
And once again, Isshin gave him the directions to the Urahara Shop.

Inside the Urahara Shop-Underground training facility, 9:45pm

"So, is everything ready?" Ichigo asked Hitsugaya.
"Yeah, the food and drinks are all out, and Tessai just finished preparing the birthday cake," Hitsugaya replied.
"I brought bread!" Orihime chimed in, startling the two, "I made a giant loaf especially for Abarai-kun!"
"That's...great," Ichigo muttered.
"Okay, everyone!" Kisuke shouted, waving his fan up and down in the air, "Abarai-san and Kuchiki-san will be arriving in exactly 60 seconds!"
"Geez, what a big deal over someone like Renji," Ichigo groaned.
"Look who's talking," Yoruichi snickered.

Dangai Precipice World, 10:00pm(WOL time)

"Hurry, Renji!"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming," Renji groaned, trying to act casual, "Why do we have to hurry, anyway?"
"Just run already!" Rukia yelled. She didn't want to be late, not when everyone was waiting for them.
